Dysport can be used as a preventative to stop the formation of deep lines. A treatment of Dysport typically takes less than 20 minutes. Dysport involves a small, relatively painless injection. It is recommended to avoid strenuous activity for 24 hours and avoid pressure and massage to the area treated for 4 hours following the procedure. Although rare, bruising can occur after treatment.

Other than that, there is typically no downtime following Dysport and it is considered a "lunchtime" treatment. Results can typically be seen in 2-4 days. The number of units needed to treat each area can vary widely from person to person.
